Our Robusta is of Medium-Dark Roast. This level of roast preserves more flavour in your brew compared to dark roast. At the same time, it offers enough body to satisfy the mouth feel. It is very versatile as it can be used in blends or even drunk on its own!

This variety of coffee is somewhat rare, accounting for less than 1.5% of commercially-grown coffee worldwide!

It is larger in size as compared to arabica beans. Its strong and bold flavour is the reason why, in the Philippines, it is nicknamed, “barako” (which means “manly/macho”).

Black Tea – Our Ceylon Tea

Tea cultivation in Sri Lanka began in the 1800s during the British colonial era when it was known as Ceylon. The name “Ceylon tea” was retained to reflect the heritage and quality of Sri Lanka’s teas.

Ceylon black tea powder is made by drying and fermenting the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant.

Ceylon tea is medium-bodied with sweet, slightly fruity and floral notes. It can be enjoyed freshly brewed on its own, hot or cold. It is also versatile and can be used to make sweetened teas, milk teas and infusions with herbs, spices or fruits.

The Ceylon tea that we carry is of Orange Pekoe grade, 100% hand-picked, and is wholly processed in Sri Lanka.
